It’s not every single day that you see classic cars go for more than $50,000 or even $60,000, but a classic 1933 Chrysler just recently went up for sale at a vintage vehicle auction and was able to pull in well over $700,000. Obviously, it didn’t hurt that this particular 1933 Chrysler was one of only nine vintage vehicles initially created way back in 1933 – and is the only one of six known to remain that has been fully and completely restored. The vintage vehicle auction that it was a part of featured over 115 cars, a handful of boats, and all different kinds of automobile memorabilia – but this was definitely the star of the show. Well over $9.5 million in sales were recorded (and over 90% of all items ended up being sold), making it one of the superstar and premier antique auctions of this past summer. The organizers behind this auction (the Hershey Lodge group) host a number of these kinds of auctions each and every year, and it’s likely that they’re going to hold another one next summer – and the word is that it may be even bigger and better than this one.
