A museum in Balstrop, Texas, is attempting to settle the debate over whether or not classic cars can be considered as works of art or mere machines, by holding an exhibition packed with some of the best looking models ever made.
This November, the Southern Arts Classic Car Show will be held in conjunction with the Snyder Museum and there is still time to sign up and have your vehicle displayed at the event.
The organisers are going to great lengths in order to make sure that the visiting vehicles are not damaged or dirtied by the Morehouse Activity Centre, the floor of which will be covered in mill felt to achieve this aim.
Up to 3,000 people are expected to attend the show and any profits made will be donated to the museum in order to help maintain and run it.
On the day there will be three prizes awarded to the best kept vintage vehicles by a prestigious judging panel of experts. There will also be a prize for the vehicle which is selected by visitors as the best car, called the Spectators' Choice award.
Expect to see Chevrolets, Mustangs, Fords and many other classic models at this year's show.
