People around the world have always been at least a little bit leery about the number 13, and for good reason. History has shown time and time again that this number has an interesting way of cropping up when things go a little bit sideways – making for at least an interesting (and very memorable) time.
You could hear it in the buzz of the crowd when it was announced that the 13th annual Cool City Classic Car Show was kicking off that there was just a bit of trepidation. The weather report predicted violent thunderstorms, damaging hail had been slamming a nearby community, and the storms were gathering just outside the setup point.
However, right around 6 AM the sun came out, the skies cleared up, and the weather has been absolutely fantastic for this specific classic car cruise. The University of Wisconsin (where the car cruise is held) has been flooded with hundreds and hundreds – thousands even – of classic car enthusiasts who’ve come from all over to enjoy the show, and they haven’t been let down yet.It just goes to show you that even though 13 may not be a lucky number for everyone, it was unable to rain on the parade of the Cool City Classic Car Cruise this year.
