The desert is often full of surprising sights and Palm Springs has this year taken its third turn hosting the Casual Concours classic car show, with vintage vehicles glinting under the punishing heat of the sun.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort South was the venue for this meeting of like-minded individuals and classic car fans from across the nation.
Classic cars from many different manufacturers including Ford, Chevrolet, Cadillac and many more were present. Of course US firms were not the only well represented group, as there were plenty of European cars for those with a passion for anything on four wheels.
The event is organised and hosted by the Great Autos of Yesteryear club and as well as getting together large numbers of classic car enthusiasts, it also serves to raise money for local charities.
This year, the Desert AIDS Project was one of the main beneficiaries of the funds raised, along with the Desert Outreach Foundation.
The fact that shows featuring classic cars like this regularly raise large sums for good causes makes them all the more worthy of your attention, so get involved whenever you can to help contribute to the community and have some fun.
