12th annual Covered Bridge Car Show kicks off

It’s not every single day that you see a vehicle more than 50 years old drive down Main Street looking like it did the moment that they first rolled off of the assembly line – but Tom Wiley’s car certainly isn’t your average 50-year-old vehicle.
No, it’s a 1959 jet black Jaguar, and he spent some 15 years restoring it into the kind of condition that you see today. With just 28,000 miles on it – yes, 28,000 miles – this vintage automobile and some 250 others will cruise down Main Street and take part in the 12th annual Covered Bridge Car show this weekend.
Promising a weekend of summer fun unlike any other, this is the kind of summertime event that is fun for the whole family – the kind of event that turns everyday people into vintage car nuts even if only for just a few hours. Live music, great food, and a number of family-friendly events will also be happening around the Covered Bridge Car show, and admission is 100% free for the general public. There’s still time to enter your own vintage automobile into the awards competition – but remember that you’ll be joining a fleet of some 250 show cars (right around twice what last year show had).
