MG Midget, Red, for sale in Portland, Connecticut, for $6,000.

This 1977 MG Midget is a very original survivor car, having been driven only 19685 miles from new per the odometer. Mileage appears accurate based upon the condition of the car. The Damask red paint is all original except for the left front fender that was scratched and subsequently repainted. The original Tappan Motors British Leyland dealer decal is still affixed to the rear. The body is totally straight and rust free including original floors, rockers and sills. The car was apparently Zeebarted when new. There are only a few very minor fender dings. The interior, top, boot and tonneau are original and in exceptional condition. The engine runs smooth and has good oil pressure. The brakes, clutch and transmission function well. The original exhaust has a pinhole leak at the rear resonator, so this should be replaced. Also, the turn signal switch does not always cancel properly, so this might need attention. It can be turned off manually. The original owner's handbook as well as a factory service manual and sales brochure are included. Four new radials have recently been fitted. The original Dunlop spare is in the trunk. The battery is new.
