Description Report Fraud
MG B roadster, for sale in Stratford, Connecticut, for $7,700.
Just in. . . acquired from retired 83 year old ex University professor. Appears to be well serviced and very tidy (as the English would say)
73,000 original miles, what appears to be very good original Flame Red paint, very good black interior, MG premium floor mats, stereo, brand new convertible top, Rostyle mag wheels. Runs and drives like new.
And why not? Perfect compression, 148-155 psi in every cylinder, 75 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke, strong performance with recenty fitted Weber carb, excellent trans with strong synchromesh, tight front end (we replaced the front bushings and springs, shocks are fine), lowered to pre 1975 ride height (for better looks and handling), completely rebuilt front calipers (with new pistons, seals, and flex lines), new alternator, thoroughly serviced, new battery, virtually silent performance twin pipe exhaust, mechanically, first rate.
Has a usable stereo, we installed a beautiful wood dash, has a factory luggage rack, carpeted trunk with spare wheel cover, what else is there?
Actually, there is more.
See, these 'rubber bumper' cars suffered from lesser esthetics, gutless performance, and poor handling. Which makes it easy to ignore superior cooling system, servo assist braking, better transmission and mounting, better electrics, dash, etc. BUT. . . this car has a Weber carb, has been lowered and. . . . . we can certainly perform one of our 'chrome bumper conversions' which will result in one of the best of all MGBs. . combining the performance, handlng, and esthetics of the earlier MGBs with the superior cooling, brakes, dash, etc. of the later cars.
All work we did to a 1975 which I have been enjoying for a few years.
A wonderful MGB for sale now and, if the mood overwhelms us, with chrome bumpers (at a higher price).
