67 Mercury Cougar -- Super Stock -- Perfect Project Car!, White, for sale in Santa Rosa, California, for $3,600.

Bought it in ‘89, drove it til ‘91, then up on blocks for 20+ years White (but needs paint) with light blue interior 289 V8, automatic, power brakes, power steering 18K on odometer – I think it’s 118K, but could be 218K? Engine partially rebuilt prior to 89S Clear, non-salvage title (VIN and door plate data below) The car is very original, very stock. Perfect project car to restore! Original black-and-yellow California plates, with every piece of chrome trim, and every emblem present. Nice interior. Needs a paint job, but the body’s in great condition -- super straight, with virtually no dings or dents – the only exception is the easily-replaceable hood, which has a crinkled corner, but still closes straight. Doors and windows seal tight – NO water leaks at all Sequential tail lights work Headlamp assemblies work – including the vacuum system for raising the “eyelids” -- rare to find these working! Back up lights work (also rare) All interior lights work Runs fine, but needs some attention. Strong engine – sounds great! Nice smooth shifting tranny. Holley 4-barrel carb installed. (Original carb and a Mallory dual-point distributor come with the car) California car for its whole life. There’s superficial rust – the worst of it being around the rear windshield (see photos) – none of it too bad. Little to no rust in the really important places – the wheel wells, the cowl, the floorboards. The entire underside of the car is remarkably rust free.
