Grand Cherokee Limited - unique Jeep beast rolled once, Brown, for sale in Poplar bluff, Missouri, for $15,000.

1980 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition with 48,017 miles. Maroon with Cherokee Stripe.

We are the second owners of this vehicle. The first owner was my husband's older cousin. He bought this jeep so he would have something to haul his boat to the lake and back. He drove a Lincoln town car for normal use. The jeep was driven very little by his cousin. We inherited the jeep upon his cousin's death in 1999.  

We used the jeep for some extreme off-roading a few times. It has amazing four wheel drive capabilities. There were times when we were at such an incline, I couldn't see anything except the sky through the windshield.  

I drove it to work and back for 1 year, until we were expecting our first child. It then sat for about 8 years, with almost no use. When we tried to use the jeep again, it wouldn't start.

I had a farmer from church look at it, and he had it running in 15 minutes. My husband used the jeep for about 6 months, before he rolled it. This jeep has been rolled once. The windshield and driver's side windows are broken. Most of the damage is to the driver's side. I was amazed at how little damage there was, after the accident.  My husband wasn't wearing his seat-belt, but he suffered no broken bones or cuts.

We haven't tried to start it since. However, I'm thinking of having the same farmer take a look at it again.

The gas gauge has not worked, since we have owned the jeep.  

I would be more than happy to send more pictures or info about this jeep if you are interested.  I have never been able to find a picture of a jeep exactly like this on the internet. That makes me think it is pretty unique.
