This stunning 1957 Jaguar XK 140MC Drophead Coupe is in Red with Tan.

This Jaguar was very recently appraised (July 6, 2012) in anticipation of this sale, by Automobile Appraisal Association, 530 Lasuen St., Sonoma CA, 95476. The thirty-five page report concluded that the appraised value was $ 137,000.00.

Total XK 140 production was 8951, of these, 2775 were Drophead Coupes.

This car has been in the same family and garaged since the early 1980s. It has been driven less than 500 miles since its recent complete frame off restoration.

It is a numbers matching car, California titled and current registration.

Excellent gaps and fit and finish to the car with attention to every detail.

Original and desirable 3.4 ltr double overhead cam C-type engine developing 210 bhp with its original 4 speed gearbox. Please note the excellent engine bay, correct down to the hose clamps. Complete stainless steel C type exhaust. This car still retains its original Laycock De Normanville Overdrive unit, factory fitted with the correct overdrive switch.

Suspension is fully sorted and excellent.
