1949, the 40th anniversary for Hudson. Upper series models were now called Commodore Customs and looked identical to the 1948 Commodores. The dash was very attractive with the 2 tone paint and wood grain. Two large parcel compartments were now incorporated in the dash. Commodore Customs had distinguishing features such as bumper guards, hand rails on the back of the seat with envelope panels. Only 596 commodore 8s were produced. This car is a wonderful original with believed 54,131 original miles.

Approx. 8 years ago this car enjoyed a body-up restoration. The body is well fit and exceptionally straight, it is loaded with options from power top, power windows to chrome hudson tissue dispenser. The 254" cid eight cylinder engine is mated with a 3 speed stick transmission. The wine burgandy exterior and interior contrasts with the new black harts top and wide whitewalls. The seats are wine leatherette and in good condition. This car runs and drives as you would expect a hudson to perform.
