Located in Costa Mesa, CA Starting low, but there is a reserve. Looks like it is a 41' Hudson, and from the description, it's got a late 50's Cadillac V8 (tri-powered...). Most likely the conversion was done in the very late 50's or early 60's.

The seller seems to think the engine is worth around $3500 (I haven't a clue in that regard), so the reserve is probably considerably higher than that...

Rick, do you see anything in the background of those pictures that looks like a Hudson truck? I'm thinking there's a package deal in there for you!

Yup, you're right, but I was paying more attention to the 'woodie' in the background though... Wrong side of the country for me, even if I had enough room for them - which I don't.

Doesn't that look like the roadster Brownie is restoring? The one he wrote about in the WTN?

Bill,
This one looks like it might have been built using the top of a car for the back and very close to the concept Mertz talked about. Would love to know if it was a convertible when it started. I expect it might not have been. This one looks like a great project that does not have a lot of rust issues. I posted a note above---guess I should have read my treads today before I got so excited and posted it.
