Gear ratio/RPM
If you want a go cruiser, try 2.72, they are in some corvette rearend and jeep cj rearends, a friend of my uses that ratio alot in his Hudsons

Thats' what I have in my 29 Essex, had a ride in a 29 Ford with one and it has enought for my cruiser, 4barrel eldebrock, intake and cam, also a good set of headers and mufflers

If you are looking for a cruising rearend, try dana 44 - 2.72 gear package, in the Hudson rearend, a gentleman up here in Canada used that setup and it works great, may save alittle in the pocket book, they are suppose to fit right in Peter

if you would like a good place to get, some repairs and chromed or nickel plated try Midway Plating in London Ontario Canada , they do excellent work, did my rad shell, can shave in it
