Starting problems
Barry, if it won't turn over fast enough I would think it might be a ground issue or maybe the solenoid . Make sure the connections are clean, the heavy oil will make it turn over slower but I don't know if it will prevent a start. 60 deg…

Making door paneling
LeBaron Bonney sells "boards" that are used for the doors etc. I live closeby and picked up a few, they are very much like masonite but not as thick and lighter. I made some new boards for the interior of my DeSoto and they worked fine.

Idle adjustment
Sounds like a vacuum leak to me, if closing the choke helps then that means it needs a richer mixture, needs a richer mixture because it is drawing in extra air from the vacuum leak--Have you checked the carb to make sure it is down tight?

The One We Wish We Had Back
The ones I wish I had back are a 48 Buick Roadmaster Convert, what a nice car and come to think of it I also would like back the 33 Buick Victoria Coupe I had, I sold both cars to buy my house. That was a better investment but I miss those cars!

Problems with removing 47 heater core
To remove the core the inlet and outlet pipes have to be removed. They screw out, use vice grips or a pipe wrench, they have to come out or the core can't be removed.

55 4 DOOR WASP for sale
I think that car is a Hornet, much different than a Wasp. The Wasp of that year would have a 202 and be underpowered, the Hornet would have a 308. Hornets are a much better choice than a Wasp, especially in 1955.
