Heater Fan Switch
There is a second wire that grounds to the inside of the case. I ran into the same item with the hot switch and disconnected it as well. I finally hooked it back up a few weeks ago when it stated getting cold here.

Also of note is that depending on what transmission you are using you may need a crank spacer to account the the shorter crankshaft in the newer engine. I ran into this using a 55 motor and my 53 automatic transmission. -Rich
