Well I got everything changed out today. Overall it was an easy job. The old shocks where definitely worn out. It should make the ride a lot better and now I can't wait till the spring to test out the ride. Thanks again to everyone that help…

Aging Tires
The bias ply tires on my Hudson are over 20 years old and still hold air great. I hate to get rid of them because they have great tread left on them.

A tool you can't live without!
Before I knew I could loosen the end of the tip up, I had such a hard time getting it off the fitting, when it would finally come off with me pulling on the hose, my hands would bang into some part of the frame and cut my knuckles up.

I went out and bought one when I bought my Hudson and saw how many grease fittings there was. I bought my from Sears. I forget what I spent on it. It works great except some times its hard to get it primed.

Wheel bearing seal problems
I had the same problem. No matter what, I could not get them in. I even took one to my grinding wheel to try to make the OD a little smaller, it still didn't work. So I also just put the original ones back in.

I just had mine replaced while they where doing my clutch. I bought the neoprene one. I don't know how hard it was for them but he didn't say anything bad about the seal. He said he would have to drop the oil pan in order to do it right…
