    Here's a few shots sent in today, of BoB Bitgood's drop-dead gorgeous '49 H C6 CVBRO.

When this beauty hits the road, there's gonna be a lot of car nuts out there wishing they'd chose Hudson instead of some "other" brand to sink their hard-earned cash into.

Takes the breath away Bob -- especially to the hard-core hudnuts who see these cars as the "holy grail" of all things that roll around on four wheels -- me included.

Many thanks for sharing these photos with us, and if you have more - I'd be proud to post them !!

That is a beauty! Look's like a lot of time and love went into that so far. Can't wait to see the final product.

BTW, I think he still may like the "other" brands, look over the doorway in the first picture.

( I've decided on the photosize you see there to try to accomodate those with smaller screens, or slower download speed. If anyone would care to comment on what size works best for them, I'll see what can be done to achieve a happy medium for all. I can post them much, much larger if that's what everyone wants, or even smaller, but personally, the way they are now is about as small as I'd like them to be on HC )

I for one think it is a waste to post such large pictures.

Not for me, I love the detail that I am able to see on my monitor with these large pictures :)

Yeah. There are poor people out there who need pixels so they can get pixelated.

Too bad the grille is done incorrectly?. I think one of the best exterior features is the grille on a 48-9. Defineately looks like a pretty car.

Looks great. One issue he will have is on the header. He put the glass in before he put the vinal on the header. It is actually installed with tacks above the glass seal. Although he may be able to glue and use the garnish moldings, but let the upholster figure that out.

Just posted another eight pictures on hudsoncollector. The two-tone paint job is finished, and now its off to the upholstery shop tomorrow on a flatbed truck, weather permitting. Once that is done, around the end of March, then the car will be final detailed, when it gets back in Bob's garage.

Is that Boston Ivory and Honey Cream together? Never thought about that. What color is the top going to be?

While I appreciate all the work they are doing I don't like the color combo. I think the colors are so close it looks like someone made a mistake. To me two tone should have contrast, something to catch the eye, not make you guess whether there is actually a color change on not just a paint mistake. The work is beautiful, the color change is just too subtle for my liking.

Great photos and it's easy to see he's paying attention to detail. However, those extra large photos are a pain to manuver around on the screen, and they keep us from seeing the big picture all at once.

Hold down your Ctrl Button and then use the (+) plus and (-) minus buttons to change the size of the picture. You can reduce the size of the picture to where you can see the whole picture on your screen. Then if you want to view a small area to view the detail just enlarge it. Only down side is that it also reduces the print.

Unfortunately willy, to get the fine detail a lot of us cherish in a photograph, a large photo is the only way to fly. Some of us that are using older, smaller CRT monitors, will no doubt find things a bit awkward when trying to view the photos at the size I have settled on for posting.

The photo size I'm using actually only fills about 3/4 of the screens I use, but these are all 21 inchers, so no issues there.

The best I could think of to do with regards to this problem for some of us, is to reduce the photo size to a hopefully "happy medium", that would help out the users with older monitors by not being too "huge", while keeping the Guys with newer monitors still able to see the whole picture at once.

Then, when the older monitor users finally toss those CRT monitors, (which will happen very soon no doubt), they'll find the pictures fit very nicely on their "lastest, greatest", high tech monitor, even if they were posted a couple years ago.

Hopefully, this will work out in time, but if I've missed the mark somewhere on this, don't hesitate to let me know. This whole exercise is make the Hudson experience not only accessable to everyone who's interested, but as much fun as possible along the way as well.
