Is anyone looking for a 46 Pick Up? I've decided to sell. Mine is running and driving, with new brakes, good tires and some new glass. Still needs a bunch, but it goes and stops. Send me a note if you have an interest. I'm in Virginia near Richmond.

I have a sister in North Carolina and I need and excuse to visit her. Would the truck be up for a road trip to California?

    Sorry, I can't deliver.

I'm in the process of fitting a 56 Chevy gas tank into the frame rails now. It currently runs off a gas can in the bed. I think driving to Carolina is out of the question. It's a project.

Roger, I have you in the truck roster but without the SN. Could you send it to me via email to HETcramerlp@roadrunner.com and drop the HET. Thanks, Larry, HET truck registrar

Roger, well, if it won't make the drive to Carolina it probably wouldn't be prudent to try to drive it to California. Guess I'm not in the market afterall.

Since when were Hudson people afraid of a challenge? The Judds made it California with a lot less than a 46 Pickup. :)

HA, the Judds had a tough time of it too with that old truck doing about 20 miles per hour and breaking down constantly. I don't think I want to duplicate that experience.

Yeah, but once Naomi and Winona started making records and Ashley started doing movies they ran around in much better vehicles. Since I can't sing I will have to get all the way back to California on my good looks. I think I'll at least need a gas tank for a trip like that.

Here's some pictures: I've replaced the heater core and the bad windows since these pictures, and I have a handful of new parts to go along.

It's not the money it's the 6000 mile round trip to get it home. That wouldn't be so bad if half the miles were flying but dog gone it I would have to haul a trailer both ways. That would be a heck of a drive in anyone's book.

Looks like a nice truck. Always thought these were neat. I am working on other projects, however I may be interested if there is minimal rust on the vehicle. I have repaired a bunch of rust on my current project and I could not get up tha ambition again to handle a lot of rust.

Could it get to Richmond under it's own power?

Not until I get the gas tank finished: It would be a long fifty-mile trip, one gallon at a time. Besides, I havn't installed the new center-steer bearings (included) yet either, so the steering is kinda loose.

There is some rust, but it's not swiss cheese. I'll be happy to send pictures of any areas you are concerned about.

I've got the money and the space but my wife will murder me if I buy another Hudson. Plus I am in Australia so it would be way too dear to ship. The parts car I just bought could be chopped for a project like this and my old welder friend loves a challenge.

Advertise it in the WTN and you should get what you are asking for it.
