28 Essex dash refinish
-
looking for information on refinishing 28 Essex dash and window trims to as close to original as possible. Any ideas out there????????
Thanks
Wayne -
I've forgotten how to post a picture on this page, so if someone can remind me, I'll post a pic of how I re-did the dash and windows on a '28 Hudson, which of course is identical to the Essex. I can re-do the original type wood graining for you, but the cost of shipping to New Zealand and back may preclude you takingup my offer!

He can probably send ya pics -
The picture file I hae is too big to post here for some reason. Send me your email and I'll post it to you seperate. Its' not rocket science to do the woodgraining yourself. My method uses acrylic flat base coat, acrylic stain, and then a final sanding and sealing off with clear polyurathane.
