Does anyone know what the Vin number looked like on a 1937 Dodge truck?

I need to find out how many characters, which were letters and which were numbers. Also, where was the Vin tag located, I assume it as somewhere on the firewall. Anyone have any images of the Vin tag. Any help would be appreciated.

According to the "Standard Catalog of Trucks" 1937 Dodge trucks serial numbers were located on a plate on the right front door pillar.

    MC - Made in Detroit - 8156701-8186617

    Made in L.A. 9247201-9250807

    MD/ME - Detroit - 8072601-8082022

    L.A. 9282601-9283704

    MF - Detroit - 8407601-8421824

    California - 9293701-9294756

Engine numbers were on the top front left side of the block between cylinders one and two.

    MC - Starting-T38-1001

    MD/ME/MF - Starting-T30-1001

    Hope this helps

There is no plate or any sign there was ever a plate on the right or left door pillar. There are no holes where a plate would have been screwed or riveted in place. There is no indication there was ever any type of Vin tag any where on the firewall either.
