Afflicted with the infamous front door falling off syndrome as well as the equally infamous Rocker Rot with complications no doubt from Failing Floor. A sad prognosis.

With no leaves behind the LR wheel, it looks like it was recently dragged there.

No great loss, if you run the serial number on Carfax you will see the car was once hit in the front end. All the sheet metal was replaced and repainted, thus the reason for the difference in paint front to back.

When I see a picture like this I try not to think that just fifty some years ago that car was sitting on the show room floor. I do like to see the jewels in the rough though. Nice shot.

Unfortunatley it is a great loss. I was just at a show today with mine and though I didn't win anything, I had to have at least twice as many people around my car and asking about it as any of the others there. You just don't see Hudson's anywhere. One older gentleman who I spoke with for a while shared some memories of Hudsons when they were new, then as he walked away he turned around and said " Thanks for keeping it alive". That alone was my trophy for the day.

This month's picture on the Motorbooks "Roadside Relics" calendar is of three derelict stepdowns on the outskirts of Challis, Idaho.

I found my 52 Hornet Coupe in a farmers pasture in Idaho four years ago. It had been last been registered in 1974. The car is not finished but it is now running, driving and registered... spent ALOT of money so far but it is one more rare car back on the road.
