Hi, Welcome; I suggest going power windows and eliminate the vents completely by making a pattern to have the glass Company cut a larger window. They sell the 1/4" long Channel you will need. The Window Kits are EZ to install with Plugs. Cant go wrong. I did it with no regrets,

    Welcome to the forum Charlie

The 390 is a super engine. Ford used it for many years and it stood the punishment that many put it through.

I agree with Ol Racer except that I would leave the vent windows (just a matter of choice is all).

Door panels are gone? Completely, or just off the doors?

I would check around for a Merc club in your area. They will have all the good dope on where and how much anything you need for the car is.

Best of luck with it and post some pictures.
