Help with a dog named Nova...
-
I recently got a new hound (I'm a coonhunter, among other things) and decided to name her Nova, after my favorite car.
I'm having trouble comig up with a registered name for her, and since I want it to have to do with a car theme, I figured - who better to ask than other car enthusiasts? Let's see if we have any creative folks in here
Here are a few I've come up with, but don't quite know if I like well enough to use...
Maverick's Classic Black
Maverick's Rev Em Up
Maverick's Burnout Nova
Any suggestions?

Good lookin hound!
How 'bout 'Maverick's Vintage Chevy Two'? -
some use part of the sire and dams name+NOVA so other people get the linage--in the horse business it is the same--when you breed her people immediately know the champion linage and increased value of the pups----bob

Maverick--got a couple of coonhunting nephews in missouri----told them a story about my boxer mix BUDDY being a coon killing fiend----the first 2 years i had him he killed at least 200 coons---during the summer he killed one a night and many times he would get 2 or 3 a night----one night he had a bunch in my apple tree and he would not let me catch him (to put him in the house so i could sleep)
all night dog fights erupted in the yard---in the morning he had 7 of them layed out dead
my nephews thought i was the uncle that was prone to telling tall stories----his only short fall(coonhunting) was that he would not bark---he would lay silent in the tall grass in the pasture and attack at the sound of them moving through the grass from the river on the west of my house to the farmers canal to the east---that also got him into 2 mountain lion fights and one with a young black bear---at about 6 years of age it looked like coons were going extinct in my neighborhood or the coons had put up crime scene tape to warn others away----old buddy lived to be 13 and i always wished he had fathered some pups along the way (got him at the pound and they neuter all the animals adopted out)Bob
