oh barf
-
Must have followed the road painting crew for days, to get that much overspray...
-
This car was shown at the KKOA meet in Biglersville, Pa. (Just North of Gettysburg) a number of times a few years back. At that time it was very well done and the very same attractive monochrome school bus yellow. I certainly wouldn't mind owning it. At the time, I think the price was in the $30-35K range.
-
I would like to see some chrome where it should be but the car isn't that bad. I don't especially like yellow but I could life with it. I would still drive it just like it is if I owned it. I remember when the asian cars started with the monochrome look, I didn't like it then and I still don't but that doesn't mean I wouldn't own it.

LOL, did you say "barf at"? lol:D -
This one was written up in, I think, Custom Rodder several years ago. It's done right, all the way through. The full length console conceals a strengthening member all the way through the car, to compensate for the lost top (It was converted from a closed car). I don't like the monochorme look either, but would be a lot of car for the money at 30 grand, if a "full comfort full custom" is what you're after.

Are you guys sure that's overspray and not just a light reflection issue around the passenger side dash? I guess I'm just getting old and blind, but I don't see the overspray in the pics. A cool ride nonetheless though. Not exactly my cup-o'-tea, but then, its not my car! lol

I was just kidding about the overspray - i.e., from the 'line painting' road crew... So much yellow (if you buy this baby, better keep an extra set of sunglasses around  )... Agree Rick, to much yellow for me too! lol You weren't the only one to mention the overspray, so I just wanted to know if I'm as blind as I think sometimes! LOL But, I remember a few of these major yellow cars back in the late 70's, early 80's when I belonged to the NSRA. -
I like this!!! It appears to be a pretty well-done car! I would re-chrome the bumpers and grille, if it were my car, but apart from that, I'd sure as hell drive the thing!"The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..." -
rechrome the grill and bumpers, maybe some traditional kustom hubcaps and a carson top and you got yourself a sharp car afetr you paint the whole thing a much better color
-
Yeloow on this puppy looks friggin' great! Better than all of the red belly-button cars you see at most rod or leadsled meets! I'd do like I said above, and then have some fun with it!"The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..." -
It is an eye catcher. I think I like the gold on the 36 on ebay better but I would still find a place to park the yellow car if I had it.

Bidding topped out at $24,400.00 which is good for a hod rod. Reserve was not met.
