1955 Chevy Bellaire 2DR Post
-
Hey guys. I have inherited a 55 Chevy that my dad bought in 1970 to restore. He never restored it and it has been kept in a garage for the past 38 years. It seems rust free except for some specs on the chrome. I would bet that the paint is original.
Oh yeah, no engine or transmission! They were stolen years ago from the garage. The interior definitely needs work too although the dash looks good. I don't think I will have the time/money to restore it. I am wondering what I could get for it. If I sell it, what do you think I should expect to get? -
Becuase the car is incomplete, is has no value beyond that of its parts. The 55 is a well liked car, so you should not have too much problems selling it. If it where me, I would solicit offers. Non-hardtop cars do not bring as much either. Hard to say what you could expect, its depends on the buyer.

I agree with Ted to a point. I would suggest looking thru the classifieds here and on e-bay for similar cars and what they bring. If all the trim is there and in good shape it will bring more. If the rust really is at a minimum and the car is complete except for the engine and transmission, I would venture a guess of 4 to 6K.

I would be interested in more information about your 55 Chevrolet .
