1967 Corvette Convertible
-
I am trying to help a friend find some history on his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible and I am having no luck. I have searched online for resources and the DMV. I have decoded the VIN# and the car was assembled in St. Louis, MO. Any help or recommendations that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

Thanks for your reply. He is looking for information to the specific car owned, not the make and model in general. We are trying to find out the original owners, how many of this type were produced and what number the car is on the Chevrolet/GM registry. We want as much history on this specific VIN# in order to restore the integrity of this Classic Car.

I think that finding previous owners is almost impossible now a days due to the privacy laws. If you go to your local DMV you "MAY" be able to find where the car was registered but I think that that is about all. They will not give out the information that you seek. Another thing to try is once you know where it was registered, you could stop in to the local Chevy dealers and see if you can get any info from them. Sometimes the owners would take their cars to the dealer for service, but you wil have to find a dealer that is willing to help you out.
Best of luck and keep us posted if you find a source.

There is a place online that you can get a history report from. I am not going to name them, but you can find it easy if you search for it. I know it gives the history of the car and if it was in any accidents and all, not sure if it will have any names, but may be worth a shot. I think it is relativly cheap, like $10.00.
