If anybody remembers all the trouble I had with trying to get the front main bearing cap off on my Hudson, I used a puller on the parts car engine and both the front and back main bearing caps came right off. Someone must have put something in the bottom packing other than the cotton that is suppose to be used. It always comes in handy to have a parts car if you are fixing one up. I still think with Doug Waldrick's advice and help that I can still make one good engine out of two without extreme expense. Doug has showed me a lot. These old spasher engines are unlike anything I ever worked on before and I have worked on a lot of engines. Worse than a Crosley, b smedley.

Well at least with a Crosley, you don't have to turn it over on it's side and pull the motor out with a tractor.

I can't believe you turned it back over on it's wheels by pushing it by yourself. I could see you doing that with a Crosley but not a full size Hudson.

I'll be down there Friday to finish tearing that engine down. If there are any Crosleys in the way I will just pick them up and move them out of the way.
