Hey Everyone. New Member
-
Hey everyone I just joined this forum a little while ago just reading some of the threads.
A few things about me are I'm 17 and live North of Seattle,Washington.
I really like it here seeing all the helpful input members give. I'll see all of you around:).
And here is my car. 1978 Chevrolet El Camino. I bought this when I was 15 after saving up since I was 12 years old working at my own hotdog stand which I named "Stevens Big Weiners". If I find the picture of me working at it I'll upload it.

Here is what I started out with besides the body kit.

As of right now the car is a little different. I have new bumpers that don't have trim, a tonneau cover that is fiberglass painted the same color as the car and some minor new chrome parts. Will have more pictures when I get another camera.
The engine is a rebuilt 350 but I bought another Gm Perfomance 350 with 355 Hp and a 5-speed tranny. The tranny is a manaul though and right now the car is a automatic so I will have a good project for the summer. I'll post engine pics tommorow when I get a new camera -
Steven - That is as great looking El Camino. The ground effects are very cool.
I own a 1987 SS that I am just finishing up too. Here is what my car looks like.

Welcome, Steven! You've done a great job on the car and it's always nice to hear about a young person who works hard, saves his money, and buys the car of his dreams!

Welcome to the group Steve.
Nice loking Camino. Shows that you care to do that kind of work, keep it up.
CC, nice looking camino also.
Amazing how pictures get people interested.

Thanks everyone. I certainly learned hard work pays off.
And CC that is one nice El Camino. I like(what I assume) the fiberglass bumper painted black. I debated black but painted mine a unique metallic. Maybe in 10 years when I repaint it. -
Your color looks great. Black is a pain in the butt. Yes, I have fiberglass bumper caps front & back. It really updates the cars looks. I have some other photo's87 El Camino SS in the gallery.

great looking car Steven. It's nice to see a young person who appreciates where some hard work will get them instead of blowing their money on junk or not even wanting to get ahead. Good luck to you, and my hat's off to you.

Yep, I agree. I wish I had spent my time and money on that when I was your age. Very nice job. -
