headliner

Did any of the stepdowns have a white headliner in them? My brotherinlaw is restoring a 51' commodore, and he said the head liner was white. Just curious.
Thanks, Barry Smedley

Barry, The headliners for the stepdowns were light beige in color . Similar to the vast majority of manufacturers at the time.

If any had white originally , there seems to be none surviving that are still white. Smoking used to be Dr. recommended you know! My 50 P has a white headliner though and it looks great, brightens up the interior and makes it look as spacious as it really is.

My 51 Hornet has white, but now that you mention it maybe it really is beige, I just figured it was once white.
