Need help! Selling huge 1941 Cadillac parts collection
-
Hello everyone. I'm new here and need your help. My father in law was deeply involved with 1941 Cadillacs. He has recently passed. He left behind an 18 year collection of 1941 Cadillac stuff and I'm trying to sell it for Mom.
We would like to sell it in one group but would of course sell individual items as needed. There is a little bit of everything from sheet metal body items, trim pieces (grills, bumpers, hood and fender trim, window trim inside as well as outside, door knobs, etc), engine blocks as well as internal engine parts( cams, valves, pistons, etc.), transmissions (hydromatic, manual), wire harness, glass, and so on. It is spread over two buildings.
If any one could even remotely suggest a ballpark amount that this would be worth I would like to hear from you.
Oh yes, we also have one driver left (1941 Cadillac). It is a two tone four door sedan with a hydromatic. Runs very well looks very nice. Trans. was gone through last year. We would like to sell this car as well.
I'm a gearhead myself but I really have no interest in cars from this era. So thats why the plea for help and info on value.
If anyone is interested I can email you some pics of the collection of parts as well as of the car.
Thanks for any and all help!

WOW, Its been over a week now and no response. This leads me to believe that the market on old car parts and specifically 1941 Cadillac stuff is dead. I was thinking we could sell all of this stuff but it looks as if it will need to be disposed of. Surely if I were to give it away someone could put it to use?
Any comments or thoughts from the field?

Forum members:
BMW Dave did manage to sell the parts to a 1941 Cadillac enthusiast.
Thank goodness for that.
