51 Hornet Ignition Switch
-
Can anyone tell me what other ignition switches will work in a 51 Hornet? I need a switch and key and seen one but it was out of a 47 Commodore. Does anyone have or know where I can get a switch? Thanks T.

Thanks for any help

Travis; I would guess that a switch from any '51-52 stepdown would fit, although I'm not sure when Hudson went to the integral starter/ignition switch. Bridley Auto Salvage in Glenville, MN might be able to help you out... but it's awfully cold to be junkin' right now. Might want to keep your eyes open on eBay. Another trick I've used is to paw through a local locksmith's box of spare Briggs & Stratton style keys. It's time consuming, but you'd be surprised at how often you can find another key that fits.Workin Stiff
