Hi. I'm building a 29 Essex Coupe and I am looking for a frame chart. I have searched for a while but haven't found anything. I bought the car without a frame and am getting ready to build a new one. Thanks a lot for the help.

I know that, at least the later years (like the early 30's) had dimensioned frame charts in the shop manuals. So maybe someone with a '29 can verify this. If so, the H-E-T Club Store may have reprints for sale (though to my knowledge, the "1929 manual" is simply an earlier-year manual with a whole bunch of supplements added).

You might even find an original frame, possibly from someone with a '29 parts car (from which they've already harvested parts), or from a street-rodder who's replaced his frame. You could put a request in the WTN classified ads section (since the newsletter gets a lot more readership than this forum) -- assuming you're in the Club, of course...

My website is focused on the '29 Essex and has all kinds of specific resources including a detailed parts manual with pictures but I haven't seen a frame chart with measurements. The frame chart I have doesn't show detailed specs. If you need some specific measurements, let me know and I'll take a tape to my car.
