Changed the hood springs on a Dodge Dart for a fiberglass hood? I bought the hood and the lightweight springs, but I don't know what would be the best way to go about changing the springs. Any advice would be appreciated.

The one time that I attempted installing a hood spring I ended up with a cracked windsheild. There's a lot of body work that I can do well, but if it were me, I'd take it to a body shop. It's taken me years to learn the limits of my skills. In cases like this, I chalk it off to discretion to know when to pay a pro.

Well, I ended up removing the doors, and there was enough room to get in there. The only problem I have run into is that the new springs are too light, and I will have to redo the whole thing with them spun around 180* so they have more tension.
