61 mercury comet 302 engine swap
-
So I Am Putting A 5.0l 302 Motor In My 1961 Mercury Comet, Anyone Know What Kind, If Any,ENGINE MOUNTS That Will Bolt In To It For The Engine And Trans, It Has A 5 Speed T-5 World Class In It As Well?
-
V8 falcon mounts will get the motor in but there will be some trans crossmember modifications needed for a 5 speed, check with mustang vendors as there are 5 speed kits available for the early mustangs. You will need a front sump oil pan and clutch linkage and a bellhousing if the motor is from a late model. Jeff

V8 Fairlane mounts will work from 1962-65 as well as the 1965-66 V8 Mustang mounts. These cars are pretty much based on the same platform.
