Galaxie 66'
-
I got some questions and need advice. Got a blown 352 in my galaxie. Its of course an FE block with a c6 tranny. I found a replacement. Its a FE block 390 for $600. Never been workd on, said to be running and the guy dosnt know the mileage. Is that price a little steep?.
What else will work to actually move my car?. Any where else I could go for an engine?.-Regards- -
I would not pay that much if you cant hear it run,I paid that much for a complete parts car to get a 390/C-6 for my 65 country squire. When I was looking for a motor I almost bought a 67 410 and C-6 from a local junkyard but I was able to hear it run and drive it but the parts car won out as it had alot more usable parts for the same money. I will have a 66 352 from my 66 F250 that I will be selling this summer and can be heard run and driven before it comes out and will be alot cheaper. Jeff
