Lights Not Working

My wife drove my 66 Chevy C10 the other day. When I got it back, the interior lights werent working. I later discovered that the tail lights, brake lights, and front running lights arent working either. The turn signals work though. It just happend to be raining the day she drove it. The wiper switch is very similar and right next to the headlight switch. I am thinking that she turned the headlight switch and possibly broke it. When you pull out on the switch, the only thing that works is the head lights. I checked all my fuses and they all seem to be working right. Anyone have an Idea of what could be wrong?

Not working: All Interior lights, Brake Lights, Front Running Lights, Rear Tail Lights

    Working: Headlights, Turn signals

    Sincerly,

A guy who wished he never let his wife drive!!

Sounds like the headlamp switch. Some of the switches have a fuse on the end farthest away from the dash. You might look there first. It seems to me it was dome light fuse, but it might do more.

    Hey Mike,

I changed the headlamp switch. Replaced all the fuses. Even replaced the horn relay ( It wasnt working right). I checked behind the fuse box to see if any of the wires had melted toether. Nada, zilch, Nothing. Where should I check next? I havent checked the bulbs on these things. Is it possible that I blew the interior light bulbs, dash bulbs, taillight bulbs all at the same time? Let me know what you think

Gary, do you have a volt meter? If so, just for grins check and see what the alt is putting out. Probe accross the battery with it running. The only thing I can think of that would blow that many bulbs at once would be a voltage spike. IF they are blown. Otherwise just tracing wires would be the way to find a break somewhere. Check a bulb or two and see if they are blown first.

It would be helpful to get your hands on a wiring diagram of the truck.
