Door strikers needed

I'm tired of slamming doors!!!:mad:
I could use a pair, or at least a passenger side, door strike plate. Mine are worn straight. By passenger side we mean curb side or right side from in the car. Call 952-887-2514 if you have one or a set for sale. If in MN, call and we can avoid expensive shipping. Has anyone had any luck with after-market ones from K-gap as well. Thanks.

K-gap strikers will do the trick.

Quick Question - when you change the door strikers, do you have to pull the interior off to access the back side of the plate. When you lossen the screws to adjust the striker plate, it allows it to move. If you pull the screws out to replace the striker plate, would the backing plate then fall? I have not done this replacement yet, and was wondering if removal of the interior is required.

No you should not have to take the interior off. You have 3 screws in the striker take out the top two then loosen the one left slide the striker down and you can put something in one of the two top screw holes to hold plate if you like. When I changed mine the plate did not move but ok to err on the side of caution.www.hudsonmotorcar.org

No, the plates are definitely captured within the door jamb, so you can safely remove the three screws to take the striker off and nothing will fall.
I recently posted how when I changed my original '49 striker plates to a set of new ones I bought from Gene Eshelmann at last year's Nationals, that I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner! Not only were they nice, flat, unworn parts, but they incorporated a change in the geometry of the slot that completely eliminated all the extra 'door slamming' that I was used to. Now it's a pleasure to close the doors! -

Eshelmann's strikers are the best!! Put two on my C8 and they work great!
