Custom 1940 Hudson Pickup - on Ebay -

The Carson top is interesting. I wonder if that cam about due to a improper roof chop. I would be inclined to replace the cab. But it appears this truck is nicely done

I do not like the roof! I agree with Matt that a reroof would be in order, though I'd still probably chop it. The dash is a bit plain for me. I guess with a redone top and some dressing up, this could be a nice rod.

I was going to say the same thing when I posted this, but thought I should not initially 'taint' the thread with my opinion ...:rolleyes:jsrail wrote:I do not like the roof! Since we are in agreement about the roof -
I'm not too thrilled with the front end/grille either. The full-tilt frontend is nice, although I think they probably got the pivot-point wrong on it (does not appear to open far enough...).
The interior is ok, although I think the console/lower dash (where the aftermarket guages are) could have been done a bit better... But - I guess that's why it is a "Rat Rod", huh? -
You're right about the grille, Rick. I would go with another way. I didn't notice the hood tilt, does look its not going forward enough, or its just not pulled all the way forward.
If the seller is reading this, I never meant to "dish" his ride, just statements on what we like/don't like about it. I think we can make comments here w/o having to be "too PC" about things. As long as we aren't degrading someone, constructive and personal choice/observation comments are very welcome here. We don't need to be caling people stupid, morons, or whatever just because we don't agree with someone's style choice or skill level.
Rick, I don't think your comments have ever been out of line to me (for whatever thats worth lol).
The truck definately has potential I think. Wonder what it will go for, or high the reserve is?

Jay, at least there isn't any chrome on the sides! I would like to see it with the top off.
Terry
Also, thanks guys for the suggestions on the bumper ideas for my Hornet. I think I'll be hitting the Pomona Swapmeet soon.
