52 chevy handling ideas?
-
Hi, I'm building a 52 chevy for the LaCarerra in Mexico to run in the original class, and was wondering if anyone might have any ideas on how to make it handle better; remember it's the original class, so I can't go too nuts.
Thanks! -
Well, one thing you can do that shouldn't violate any rules is to replace all of the rubber bushings in the front end with ones made from polyethylene or other synthetic. It might be a good idea to replace all of the rubber chassis parts, come to think of it.
Also, if allowed, use good radial tires. I know they don't look original, but they will improve your cars handling noticebly. A good 235-250/65 or even 70 series would be your best bet, IMO.
If adjustable shocks are permitted, I would use them too.
Just some ideas. Good luck!
