where can i find classic cars ( online ) that need restoration?
-
I'd like to find a resource for getting classic cars that need restoration, not cars that have already been restored any suggestions.
-
Ck out Ebay Motors under "Parts Cars"
-
Have you tried sources like the ads in Hemmings Motor News, Old Cars Weekly, and Cars and Parts? Hemmings even has their ads online at www.Hemmings.com
-
I think it all depends on what you call a restorable car. Anything can be restored, it all depends on your budget.
try these
nostalgic auto
hzsmithmotors.com
insiderslist.com
mountain man classics
merrifieldmotors.com
collectorcarsltd.com
Good luck
There's a lot of places around.
I have a list of probably 50 places

Try www.carsinbarns.com this site has it all for restoration you just have to do some searching -
I know of well over 100 cars in my area, (Tulsa, OK), that fit your need.
For example, and these are all fairly complete cars, and some are even drivers:
1942 Nash 600 2dr coupe
1946 DeSoto Custom Suburban 2dr sedan
1947 Dodge Custom Town Sedan 4dr
1950 Cadillac Series Sixty-One 4dr sedan
1951 Pontiac Chieftain Eight 4dr sedan (very complete, may be a driver)
1952 Dodge D-41 Wayfarer 2dr coupe
1953 DeSoto Powermaster 4 dr sedan
1953 Packard Clipper 4dr sedan (2 of 'em!)
1955 Oldsmobile Holiday 88 2dr ht
1956 Studebaker Commander 4dr ht (driver, I think, but needs restoring)
1957 Lincoln Premier 4dr ht
1963 Plymouth Fury ragtop
These are but a very few classics that I have found in NE Oklahoma over the last year, and I can direct you to them, if you like.
Also, I have found many old trucks, light and medium duty, pickups, fire, ambulance and police vehicles. All sorts of great old cars and trucks.
Let me know if you're interested. I'd like to see these old jewels find a loving home.
I'll make a complete list and post them this weekend, and if you want pics, just e-mail me. -
