1957 HASH
-
Is it just me or is there something I'm overlooking?
$17,600 and Reserve not met for a HASH?
Beautiful car, but that price seems crazy

Car is a resto-rod. Chrysler 360 with 727 Torqueflite. Hand fabbed trailing links to locate the rear axle since the original torque tube wouldn't mate up to the 727. I am sure he spend over $12 grand on the paint, body work (since when have you seen a Hash with even door gaps, panel fit that nice?), chrome and polished bright-work. Not my cup of tea, but for the right person wanting this, it sure would be cheaper to buy it than to buy a tired example and do all that work, IMHO. Truth is, it isn't a highly sought after model, and chances of the guy recouping his investment in it are slim.

If it is a Hash with a Chrysler drive trian does that make it a Crash ?
RogerRetired Tech. -
He made the interior look like a brothel!
-
A '57 Hudson restored "right" would bring double that amount.
-
Looks like a 56 grill. Still a pretty car but the interior???
-
Never been in a brothel so I wouldn't know :)) :))
-
Good one Spencer.LOL
-
Very pretty car, but most hot rodders would not be much interested- he'd have been much better off with almost any other marque as a starting point. I'm surprised its at $17,600 with 6 days to go.
Since Nevada brings it up, does anybody have any knowledge of actual recent sale prices of correctly restored Hashes (that are this nice)? Guess I'd be surprised if it was all that much higher than what's being bid on this one, but that's just a hunch. -
I actually like this car, but man, the interior is about the last way I would have done it.
-
Actually the interior looks like something that might have been popular in the seventies, like in a custom van. I wonder when this was done?
-
I may be way off here but I can't even invision a Correctly Restored Hash going for $17K much
less one in the 30-35K range....
I just don't see a market for the Hash and I too would like to know of any recent sales and what the market price was -
Why not?
