Hi Russell I am verry interested in your connty kit. I am on a dissability so cannot pay all at once so have to save up the money. How much are you asking for the kit and do I need to find any additional parts to complete the kit. Could you find out how much it would cost to have it shipped to my place. I live by Westlock Alberta Canada T7P-2N9 That is north of Edmonton Alberta Canada 1 hr. Or North of the Montana boarder about 600 miles.I hope to hear from you soon. Hudsonly Ray 780-349-2747

The 51 convertible was ours. The Jet on right of previous post will not easily adapt to a stepdown. I used all framework from a 1954 hudson on our 51and made up new pans for between bumper and body. I modified a J.C. Whitney motor home wheel holder to hold my wheel, as I did not want to attach original bracket to trunk. Franework is easy to duplicate, as ot is all angle irons an flat metal. Tirecover and outer rim are available NORS from Continental Enterprises. (I have and extra tire cover and outer rim I will sell, if anyone i interested. ) I have some pictures I can provide of installation on the 51.

You might try the Nash club. My Dad had 2 or 3 1953-56 Ambassadors. All had continental kit on them. There were probably more Ambassadors sold with continental kits than Hudsons.

Dave S, Do you have the 54 trunk bracket that you say you did not use? Thats the only part I am missing to complete my Continental kit.
-
I duplicated all the supporting iron and used that bracket on my 54 convertible.
