Exhaust manifold ID?
-
I've had this Hudson exhaust manifold for some time and I would like to know what it fits. Casting number 307606. I can't find that number in the parts book. I must be looking in the wrong area. Any help is appreciated.

This was a common practice with Hudson, where the number on the casting does not correspond with the actual part number. Is your manifold a twin or single carb model? The twin carb manifold is # 307605If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

It's setting in the garage and I trial fitted it to a twin intake manifold casting 307093 I had laying around and the studs match.

I just went to the garage to see if the exhaust elbow would fit. It does not, the stud spacing between the exhaust manifold and elbow holes are way off by about 1/2 inch. -
It seems like it may be for the '55-56 Hash Hornet, as the outlet part is angled slightly inwards towards the block, to clear the spring tower of the Hash/ Nash unibody.

I'll check that Ken. I also have a 55-56 Twin H intake.
I took another trip to the garage and the holes for the studs in the 55-56 are in a different location. This exhaust manifold will not mount to a 55-56 manifold. Where it will attach to a 51-54 Twin H manifold
Something else I see that is different in this manifold is that the exit ports are about an inch or more lower than the 55-56 manifold and the divider bar exiting the exhaust manifold is flush with the gasket surface as if gasket material should be there also.
