    Surely there is someone in the USA that can help me with a set of hood springs, I don't want the hood falling down and hitting me on the head.PLEASE PLEASE.

    You can use the spiral spring from a door in a pinch. Almost exact match

    The springs I'm after are the ones that attach to the scissor arms on the hood. These are used to support the hood when open, one spring each side.
