Comm6-
Metro Rubber sells the WTSP for the front vents. Rear ones are tough, like Roger Said. Wildrick is going to be your best bet. -
Thanks

Comm 6, whoever maintains the Club roster for the '49's MIGHT have your car on file, IF a previous owner was kind enough to supply that information to the roster-keeper. The file on your car (if there is one) would probably contain no more information than the name of the owner who registered it, or possibly of an earlier owner as well (who took the time to register it). It's all voluntary.
This list of rosters appears in the WTN, or you can go to the Club's homepage and look under INFO and then select Vehicle Registries from the drop-down. And while you're at it, send the roster keeper your name, address and car serial number so he / she can keep their list up to date! -
Thanks Jon B. Will do.

Comm6 - The seals for the front and rear wing windows for your car are available from Metro and their vendors. The Hudson 1948-54 Master parts catalog shows at FF-8 that the wing complete for a 48-51 4 door sedan RH and LH are the same. Therefore the gaskets to seal the body to these wing windows will be the same for all years. One place you can purchase these gaskets is:
Rock Auto. https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1435607,parttype,12489,a,www.google.com+Search+for+Body-Exterior+Door+Seal+%2F+Weatherstrip+METRO
The URL shown will take you to the Metro Gaskets offered for a 1950 Hudson which lists the front and rear gaskets for sale.
I attempted to access the Metro site, but for some reason there are display problems tonight with their site.
Take a close look at the METRO extrusion catalog too. You will find that while the HUDSON name is not ascribed to the extrusions you can match the cross section of the gasket you are attempting to find to the products offered. Recently found a usable match to a 1954 windshield gasket.
update 5 October: This link goes to an ebay auction for the front vent window rubber, same seller has the rear vent window rubber too.

Wondering what parts the bumper jack has for a 55 hudson rambler. I have the base, and a standard ratching jack. Is there a part that attaches to it to wrap around the bottom of the bumper?
Thanks for any help -

I did this on my 50 a few years back and I really liked the way it turned out. shot some expensive paint but I did not do the down the front stripe because I could not see in my mind how it would look. I do like the paint scheme and would consider doing it again.

I was going to do the lower half also but decided not to when I saw this pic from a hot wheels car it looked pretty good.

I believe that the voltage regulator on the 48s and 49s was on the firewall.
-
Also the speaker is a 6X9" 4 ohm unit. You have to watch when using newer speakers that there is room for the magnet above the radio. The radios top cover has a relief stamped in it to clear the original magnet. If the speaker won't drop down far enough the grille won't go on. There are places to get the original speakers reconed/rebuilt.

Hi I am having trouble with my water pump as it is leaking. Have since removed both waterpump and the radiator. Found a great place to have the radiator reconditioned and refurbished here in Las Vegas. however the waterpump is a different story. I have removed it cleaned out all the rust that is possible to clean off. Removed both gaskets. My question is can I do or replace any other parts other than the two gaskets that I myself made??? Any help is greatly appreciated it is a 49 commodore 6 flathead 262.

If you're looking for a complete rebuilt water pump, you could try Dale Cooper http://www.hudsonmotorcarco.com/ . There may be individual parts out there so that you could rebuild your own pump, but I'm not sure who handles those.
-
If you have never done so rebuilding the pump is reather daunting a task. Mostly due to hard to find parts and tools to do the job. A pump can be found as stated from Mr. Cooper or other club members. And of course on Ebay . I see them anywhere from $40.00 -$125.00 used to N.O.S. or rebuilt.
Look in the WTN also in the want ads in the back,

Thanks guys... Checked Ebay with no luck will check with Mr Cooper.
