A barely palpable pulse is better than flat-lining........

maybe it's the increase in spam we have had on here. ;)
-
Maybe it will get better, maybe?
-
I blame it on 0bama..no one has money left to play ;)

The good news is, more action on the Nash site; the bad news is, so far, its been all Hudson site regulars doing the posting. . .
-
Yeah, I noticed it was Hudson regulars.

Yeah, we have to jump start this and give them a swift kick in ....

I could not resist getting the 47 PU with stretched frame and was told the engine is a Ambassador engine and not running. Where is the engine number located on the engine? Not having seen one since 1960 I do not recall what one looks like to verify it is truly Ambassador engine. Thanks for any help with the number and discription.
Lee O'Dell
The engine pictures are in photo group 11 on Hudson forum post "11 hudsons for sale in condition 4,5,6 - make offer". For some reason I have not been able to transfer the pictures to this post. At the moment that post, dated Nov 11, is on page 5 on the Hudson forum. -
Lee the Ambassador engine is an OHV. From '50 to '56, the valve cover was a bright red, the older ones from '49 and back were the same grey as the block. The serial number should be stamped on the right front side of the block, similar to the Stepdown sixes, so may be buried under grime.

Ken thanks for the information.
From the pictures it appears it may be the earlier engine. The block is gray on rt side w/orange side cover and on left side the block is painted blue as well as valve. The carb is on the drivers side. I'll check the engine number next time I'm over there. I have not moved it yet. It needs tires that will hold air and a place to park it. I measured the wheel base today and it measures 150 inches so the frame was lengthed 22 inches.
