This looks like a excellent survivor for sitting outside in New York. Little cleaning up and it looks like it could be driven off,

    Hi Roger,
According to Randy, the car was actually stored under cover until somewhat recently. The building it was residing in (a quanset hut type building with a dirt floor) was blown away during a tornado that came thru. Surprisingly, it wasnt damaged and hasn't been moved, and is sitting where it was - when it was in the building...

Addendum: Also, according to Randy - The car had/has been parked since the mid 80's (?) although it had been driven on rare occasions. From the looks of it, that hasn't happened in quite some time. If the engine has not frozen up, it may be a matter of cleaning out the old fuel, some flushing, a lot of PM, and some new tires to get it moving.

Roger - Tornado took the building, left the contents, pretty-much untouched. From the sounds of it, pieces of that quanset building were scattered throughout Horseheads, NY.

I am sure it was not funny at the time, but brings up thoughts of 'The Wizard of OZ'...

BTW - It is my understanding that the car is located on the William McCracken property there in Horseheads, NY. I believe he is or was an HET member, but am not sure/positive (need to locate my membership roster).

If anyone has an interest, I have the full-size photos of the car (same as those 'reduced/resized' photos above). Just send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send them to you.

Limited time offer - only valid until I need to clean house... LOL! ;-)
