Its been a good Hudson day
-
Aside from all of lifes problems I had a pretty good day. I recieved my 50 year pin, drove Doc Hudson 10 miles to its winter resting place. Its locked up and covered for the winter in a garage in a small town where people dont even lock their houses when they leave home and seldom pull the keys out of their cars. Driving that 51 Pacemaker was just like 1958 When I bought my first Hudson a 51 Pacemaker. I want to compliment the people that restored it. They did a great job on the paint and interior. Its not perfect but better than I expected or could do. They should be proud of their work. If there is anything negetive about today it was I had forgotten how gutless that old 232 was compared to my twin-H Hornet. I say that with great reverance tho. That 232 is a very durable engine. We also dug through some part boxes that I havent been into for over 40 years and found some things I forgot I had. Yup, a good day. Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving. Larry

Sweet... My good day starts at 0'-early-dawn in the morning when I climb into the tow truck with my son-in-law and grand son to drive to California to pick up my newly aquired "yard find" 1954 Hudson Hornet Special Club Coupe. I could not be more excited... We do have a lot to be thankful for this year..... Can you say: "ROAD TRIP !!!!"Brownie

Quiet day here in River City on the Bluff - at least it is now. Around 8 this morning it sounded like every fire truck in Memphis was screaming thru the section I live in.
Anyway we are full of turkey, sweet potato, peas and stuffed with stuffing. Cat is presently lying on his back here in the computer room with his feet in the air sleeping off to much turkey.
Got another 10 pages done in the 1955-1956 parts book. It proceeds.
Now I'm going to sign off for the night and go curl up with a good book for the rest of the evening.
Hope everybody had a great day.
Hudsonly,
Alex Burr
