Getting to the bottom of my gearshifting problem
-
At last I've found the time to take the transmission out of the '34 Hudson to try to sort out why I can't get it into gear.
I can't find the following information in the Mechanical procedure Manual -
1. How far along the shaft should the thrust bearing assembly be moved by the fork ?
2. How far from the surface of the pressure plate should the clutch fingers be when at rest ? Mine are 37mm, 39mm and 40mm - shouldn't they all be the same distance from the plate ?
Can anyone fill me in, please ? -
Calling Dr. Doug ... Dr. Doug wanted in the emergency ward!

I do know the pressure plate fingers should be all the same height. Doug W will know the dimensions in question.
