39 country club front quarter windows

I'm hoping for some direction on how to remove the front quarter window glass chrome channel from the quarter window frame. It looks like you would have to drill out rivets to do it. I'm replacing the glass and rubber seal with new and would like to have the chrome window channel refinished (small pits in chrome finish). Would anyone have experience taking this quarterc window apart? Appreciate any help I can get.

This is just a guess from a '37 owner (with luck, a '39 owner will jump in here and give you the real answer!). In my car, the vertical steel channel (which isn't chromed) is held by small flat head screws to the cast metal frame that holds the vent window. The screws hide beneath the black fabric that lines the channel. However, mine is the "disappearing" style, the whole thing rolls down into the door just like the window does, so yours may be of a different construction.

What I have done with all the quarter windows that I have had (all brands) is break the glass out, sand blast and drill out any rivets before they are replated. With the wind wings it is easy because you can have the glass shop put the rubber and glass back in for you.

The glass is out. I have the wing frame separated from the rest of the frame. I would like to have the chrome trim on the frame replated. If i drill out the rivets what is the best was to replace them?

All pieces are back from platters. I drilled out the rivets when separating the wing frame to the glass channel upright. , How do most folks reattach the wing frame to the window glass upright?
